FAQs
What is the difference between UX and UI?
UX (user experience) focuses on how users interact with your site - journeys, flows, and usability. UI (user interface) focuses on visual design - colours, typography, components, and layouts. Both matter, and they work together.
Do you build the designs or just design them?
I can do either. UI design packages are design-only, ready for you or another developer to build. If you want design and build together, see my website design and build service.
What design tools do you use?
Typically Figma for design work, but I can work in other tools if you have a preference. We agree the format upfront.
Can you do user research for us?
Yes. The full UX/UI package includes user research, or you can book user research as a standalone service. Participant recruitment and incentives are billed separately.
How long does a UX audit take?
Typically 1-2 weeks depending on site size and complexity. Design packages take 2-4 weeks. Full packages with research take 4-6 weeks.
Do you test with real users?
Yes, in the full package or as a standalone service. I can help with participant recruitment, or you can provide participants. Incentives are billed separately.
