Help customers understand your services, then give them a clear route to your Becket booking page. Your Crayons & Code website introduces the business; Becket helps you organise the work.
Becket brings bookings, schedules, customer records, jobs and quotes together for small service businesses. Your team can see what needs doing, who is doing it and the details behind each booking.
What Becket helps you manage
Bookings for the work you offer: Customers choose a service and request a suitable time through your hosted booking page.
A schedule based on capacity: Availability can account for opening hours, staff working hours, skills, equipment and existing bookings.
Customer details, jobs and quotes: Keep the information behind a booking connected as the work progresses. Jobs and quotes are available for business types that use them.
A shared view for the team: Roles, permissions and activity history help owners and staff keep track of the work and changes to it.
Services, people and equipment can be configured around the business. That makes Becket relevant to garages, workshops, trades and other small service teams with different working patterns.
Early access and the first pilot
Becket is in early access, and I'm hoping the first pilot client will begin trialling it soon. The pilot will help test how the booking and admin flows fit a business's day-to-day work.
Visit Becket for current features, plan details and early-access enquiries. Set-up is supported, and prices and plan details may change before public launch.
Your website and Becket do different jobs. Crayons & Code builds the marketing site that explains your services, shows your work and helps customers decide to get in touch. Becket provides the separate booking page and the tools your team uses to manage the work.
You can use either service without the other. When you use both, clear links take customers from your website to the right Becket booking page.
How the two services work together
Step 1
Explain what you do
Your Crayons & Code website presents your services, locations, examples of your work and contact details.
Step 2
Send customers to book
Customers follow a link to your hosted Becket booking page, choose the service they need and request a time based on the availability you have configured.
Step 3
Manage what happens next
Becket connects the booking to the customer record and, where relevant, the job and quote. Your team can follow the work through its schedule and activity history.
The booking path included in an eligible build
The agreed website scope can include:
clear booking calls to action where customers are ready to take the next step;
links to your hosted Becket booking page from agreed pages, navigation or contact areas;
descriptive link text so customers know they are moving to the booking service; and
responsive and keyboard checks for the route from your marketing site to the booking page.
This is a link between separate services. It does not include an embedded booking system, e-commerce, a custom Becket integration, your Becket subscription or Becket account set-up.
A practical benefit for committed Becket customers
Eligible Becket businesses receive a £150 credit towards an eligible new or replacement Crayons & Code website, plus basic hosting for the first 12 months after launch.
Monthly subscriptions: Monthly Becket customers qualify after six consecutive paid months, or sooner by switching to an annual Becket subscription.
Active subscription: Your qualifying Becket subscription must be active when the website agreement is signed and when the website launches. Eligibility is confirmed before the agreement is signed.
Limited availability: The offer is limited to the first five accepted website projects and is subject to Crayons & Code availability. A project is accepted when the website agreement is signed and the first payment due has been received.
Offer limits: There is one offer per business, with no cash alternative. It cannot be transferred or combined with another Crayons & Code discount.
The website is quoted and agreed separately from Becket. The credit applies to the website-build cost only, and the normal package scope, payment, support and ownership terms still apply. You do not need a new Crayons & Code website to use Becket.
How the 12-month hosting benefit works
The hosting benefit covers basic hosting for the agreed website and works alongside the hosting already included in the standard packages:
Kickstart: Kickstart already includes hosting throughout its 12 or 24-month term, so there is no separate hosting charge during the first 12 months.
Support Scheme: Support Scheme includes hosting while the scheme remains active. If you end the scheme after its minimum term, basic hosting continues only until the end of the 12-month offer period; the scheme's support and maintenance end when the scheme ends.
Straight-up Build: Straight-up Build hosting is extended from six months to 12 months at no additional charge.
Domain names, email services, paid third-party tools and specialist hosting requirements are not included. After the first 12 months, you can continue on the standard hosting rate and terms available at that time, or arrange a suitable alternative.
