The project
Michelle Hinde offers clinical supervision for professionals working in eating disorders and trauma. The website needed to clearly communicate her expertise, approach, and how to get in touch, while maintaining a professional yet approachable tone that reflects the sensitive nature of the work.
This was Michelle's first foray into having a website. Previously, she had relied on word-of-mouth and professional networks to connect with clients. We were tasked with creating her first website for Michelle Hinde that would help professionals find and connect with clinical supervision services, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and professional credibility.

- Accessibility first: Semantic HTML, ARIA support where needed, and a clearer accessibility statement.
Colour palette
The colour palette was carefully chosen to reflect the sensitive and supportive nature of Michelle's work. Rather than bold, high-contrast colours that might feel clinical or overwhelming, we opted for a softer, more calming palette that feels approachable and safe.
The muted tones - soft creams, gentle pinks, light greens and blues - create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that helps visitors feel at ease. These colours are particularly important in the context of eating disorders and trauma work, where the visual environment can significantly impact how people feel when seeking support. The palette avoids anything that might feel harsh or triggering, instead offering a sense of calm and reassurance that aligns with Michelle's therapeutic approach.
