Introducing Brellin: maintenance jobs, evidence and client reports

Keep the instructions, site record and client handover together, from the first job request to the final report.

Brellin is a maintenance-job application I'm developing for contractors who need a clear record of the work and a useful report to hand to the client. It keeps job instructions, site evidence, office review and completion reports in one workflow Source 1 .

The current offer is a paid pilot with personal setup support. There is a public example job and sample report you can explore before arranging a demonstration of the application.

Finished work still needs a handover

Completing a maintenance visit is only part of the job. The office still needs to know who attended, what was done, which materials were used and whether anything remains outstanding. Photographs and customer acknowledgement may arrive separately from the original instruction.

Brellin brings those details together so the office can review the record and prepare the client handover from the same job. The aim is to make the connection between instruction, evidence and report easier to follow.

From instruction to reviewed completion

  1. Create and assign. Add the job details manually, or upload a supported work-order PDF and check the suggested information before assigning it to a worker.
  2. Record the visit. The worker adds attendance, completed work, materials, further-work requirements and site evidence. Customer acknowledgement can be a signature or a recorded reason why one was unavailable.
  3. Review in the office. The office can request changes and prepare the client-facing wording while retaining the original submission and its history.
  4. Report and close. Download a branded completion report, track readiness for invoicing, and record the invoice reference when billing is complete.

Suggested PDF details always need checking, and supported layouts do not mean every work order can be read automatically. Manual entry and corrections remain available.

A report from the job record

The client report brings together attendance, the work completed, materials, evidence and customer acknowledgement with the contractor's business details and logo. The office can refine the wording for the client while keeping the worker's original submission available in the job history.

Brellin tracks which jobs are ready to invoice and stores the invoice reference when the job is closed. You continue creating invoices through your existing accounting process.

Explore an example job

The public walkthrough follows a fictional maintenance job from instruction through review and final closure. It explains the workflow in HTML, without requiring an account Source 2 .

You can also download the sample completion report (PDF) to see the report layout Source 3 . Its job details are fictional and its evidence images are illustrations. The walkthrough and report are examples, rather than customer results or an interactive demo account.

The pilot and practical limits

The pilot starts with a two-month evaluation, billed at £59 per month, for up to ten named staff accounts and 10 GB of retained storage. No VAT is currently charged. Standard setup and a 60-minute remote walkthrough are included for the first two pilot businesses.

Storage is total retained capacity, rather than an allowance that resets each month. Additional 25 GB blocks are £5 per month by agreement. At the end of the evaluation, we review the fit together before agreeing whether to continue at the same monthly service fee.

The application works in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer. An internet connection is required to open jobs, save changes and upload evidence. If a site contact cannot sign, the worker records the reason for the office to review.

Talk through your jobs

A useful first conversation covers your team size, typical instructions, evidence requirements and the reports you send to clients. From there, we can discuss the pilot scope and walk through how Brellin would fit the work.
